Dartmouth received 14,159
applications for the Class of 2011. 2,165 applicants, or
15 percent, were admitted.
The average Math
and Verbal SAT scores were 726 and 723, respectively. 37.2 percent were
valedictorians, and 94.4 percent were ranked in the top 10
percent of their class.
134 of the admits
are legacies. 41
percent of the admits are minorities, with African American
and Latino admits comprising 10 percent and 9 percent,

early applications, compared to 1,317 last year, representing
a slight decrease of 2 percent. 308
