Columbia Admits 8.5 Percent Regular, 10.4 Percent Overall

Columbia received a total of 21,343 applications for admission to the Class of 2011. This number represents an increase of 6.7 percent from last year. 

Columbia College had a 8.9 percent overall admit rate. The lowest in the Ivy League. Columbia College accepted 1,164 regular decision applicants out of a pool of 16,070.   SEAS accepted 452 regular decision applicants out of a pool of 2,844.

Early Decision Admit Rate at 24.4 Percent

Columbia received 2,428 early applications, representing an 8 percent increase compared to last year. 24.4 percent were admitted, compared to 26 percent last year. Columbia College accepted 454 applicants. SEAS accepted 240 applicants.
